Part 1: Spectrum of Leadership

Leadership is a long journey. As I traverse through various levels of age, responsibility, visibility and experience, I am constantly in the search for the answer to a question: 

What is the spectrum of the skill called Leadership? When do I know I have reached somewhere close to the end of the journey?

After a few months of Analysis, I decided on whats probably the closest I can get to answering that question. In reality, there is no answer to the question. However, as all business folks know, you always don't need the right answer. You just need to get as close as you can. 

So here is my practical view of leadership

Understanding the tiers of leadership will help structure one's career growth

There are many systems out there but few of them yield to the practical use in one's day to day life. The three step process I was able to put together has been simple enough for me to enforce but profound in its ability to adhere itself to most situations. 

In my view we are all leaders no matter what our position. However there are distinct levels of leadership skills one needs to acquire to traverse up the corporate ladder.
